I know how hard it is to lose a pet.
When I lost my beautiful border collie Maggi, the grief was unbearable. There was suddenly a huge hole in our lives and I was desperate to memorialise her. In her final days, I took ink prints of her beautiful nose, casts of her pretty pawprints, and some clippings of her soft fur. When she finally drifted off, I had her ashes created into a glass necklace so she is always with me and paid an artist to paint a beautiful painting of her for our wall.
But the one thing I didn’t do and wish I had, was have a memorial for her. She knew so many people as she came everywhere with me. Everyone loved her and there were so many lovely and funny stories about her.
